During peak season (June 24th - August 26th) we offer weekly Saturday to Saturday rentals. For all other dates we require a 3-night minimum stay.

We hope you’ll bring the whole family to enjoy the beauty and serenity of northern Michigan and the refreshing water of Lake Huron at Blue Haven Beach Resort! The Blue Haven has been hosting generations of vacationers since 1945, and we look forward to welcoming both long-time fans and first-time guests this summer. About Blue Haven Beach Resort:

Blue Haven includes fourteen cottages situated on 200 feet of pristine Lake Huron beach front. In addition to striking views of the lake, each of the stand-alone one-bedroom cottages offers:

• A modestly equipped kitchenette with stove, microwave and refrigerator

• Living room with sleeper sofa or futon and dining area

• Smart TV and Wi-Fi

• Bathroom with shower

• Covered porch with charcoal grill and outdoor seating

• Sleeping arrangements for up to five people (see individual cottages for details)

 

Our cottages sit at an angle to provide lake views. The yards and beach are professionally maintained. 

 

**Large groups: Blue Haven can accommodate 56+ cottage guests and we have the picnic tables and activity space necessary to host your family reunion, wedding reception, or group event—but large groups are encouraged to book early! 

 

Activities and amenities available on-site (no travel or shoes required!):

Enjoy this peaceful, private setting with plenty of shade trees and colorful Adirondack chairs to snooze in. We have plenty to do to help you relax and play the day away without going anywhere including:

• Enjoy 200 feet of soft, sandy beach with clear, shallow water and no rocks

• Swim in the lake, or bring your own kayak or paddle board for fun in the water

• Suntan on the provided loungers by the lake or relax in a hammock

• Play volleyball, badminton, shuffleboard, horseshoes, corn hole toss, or other outdoor games

• Fire up the grill and enjoy outdoor meals on picnic tables

• Cozy up around a roaring bonfire at one of our bonfire rings, firewood for sale on site for $6 cash

• Stargaze at the night sky, free of light interference to enjoy moonrises and meteorites 

• Kids can enjoy swing sets, teeter totter, beach toys, games, and building sand castles

• Catch up on emails or post your beach memories with Wi-Fi even while on the beach

• And our favorite: watch the breath-taking sunrise over Lake Huron ...the sky at sunset is beautiful, too.

Blue Haven is located at 2779 US-23 South in Greenbush, Michigan between Oscoda and Harrisville, about three hours north of the Detroit/Ann Arbor metropolitan area. Discover why Blue Haven Beach is worth the drive north to the relaxed atmosphere and natural beauty of Greenbush. 

 

About the area:

Pass by the crowds of Tawas and Oscoda and come stay with us in Greenbush this summer! We are located just south of the Harrisville State Park campground and charming village of Harrisville, Michigan, which features a grocery store, restaurants, Sturgeon Point Lighthouse, brand new brew pub restaurant, marina, and trout pond, all within a ten-minute drive.  We are just north of a restaurant, a party store, and marine services store. Offsite activities Include:

• Golfing at several nearby golf courses

• Canoeing, kayaking, and tubing through on the beautiful AuSable River

• Hiking on forest trails

• Fishing on Lake Huron or many inland lakes and streams

• Visit lighthouses at nearby Tawas Point and Sturgeon Point

• Bird watching

• Shopping at art/craft/antique/wine fairs throughout the summer

• Or just sit back on the beach and enjoy the clean, pure air of northern Michigan

 

About the owners:

We are a group of four families who purchased this gem of northern Michigan with the goal of restoring it to its former glory and preserving it as a place where our families and yours will be able to create cherished memories for generations to come. We took over as the new management just in time for the 2022 season. We will be making improvements as the summer goes on, but always with an eye toward preserving the natural beauty and rustic charm the Blue Haven is known for.
